Gear Storage
With the potential
loss of reasonably easy access to the waterfront, the need for
convenient gear storage arises. If beach users are expected to arrive by
bike, foot or bus, appropriate facilities will be required to store
highly-used windsports gear that is too heavy and awkward to carry by
hand.
Windsports Drop-off and Parking
While using alternative forms of transport is great, the needs to carry watersport gear necessitates reasonable vehicle access to the waterfront. We hope to collaborate to develop a drop-off area for the many watersports oceanfront users.
Rigging and Social Area
The Squamish winds
are extremely powerful, and appropriate areas designated for setting up
and staging windsport gear is essential in preventing accidents. We
strive to have a designated area for setting up gear before and after a
session on the water. This will help in keeping all parties safe and
enjoying time on the waterfront.
